White Cloud
Aboriginal Head Start Program

The White Cloud Head Start Program is to provide Aboriginal Pre-school children with a positive sense of themselves and an opportunity to develop and learn different skills to be successful in the school system.

The Goals of White Cloud are:

  • To provide children with a wholistic experience; culturally, academically and socially in activities that will give them a Head Start for entrance into the school system.
  • To provide children with experience in culture and academic learning in order to improve their quality of life and ensure successful transition into kindergarten.
  • To enhance the Aboriginal values and belief system.
  • To provide the bridges and links for
young Aboriginal children so that they can successfully adapt in an academic setting .

The Head Start Program will provide opportunities for children to:

  • Develop self-confidence
  • Take pride in their culture
  • Work on social skills
